Article Withdrawal & Retraction Policy
Unicorn Scientific Publishing is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. This policy outlines the procedures for withdrawing, correcting, or retracting articles to ensure transparency and trust in published research.
An article may be withdrawn before formal publication in the following cases:
- Duplicate submission or publication elsewhere.
- Detection of plagiarism or serious ethical breaches.
- Errors that render the work invalid prior to online publication.
Withdrawn articles will be removed from the journal’s website, and a “Withdrawn” notice will remain in the archive to maintain transparency.
Articles may be retracted after publication in the following situations:
- Evidence of unreliable data or findings due to honest error or misconduct.
- Plagiarism, redundant publication, or unethical research practices.
- Legal issues, such as defamation, copyright infringement, or privacy violations.
A retraction notice will be published in the journal and linked to the original article. The article will remain online, clearly marked as retracted, to preserve the scholarly record.
- Minor errors that do not affect the overall results or conclusions may be corrected via an erratum or corrigendum.
- Corrections are linked to the original article and are freely accessible.
- Author Request: Authors may request withdrawal before publication if significant errors are discovered.
- Editorial Action: Editors may initiate withdrawal or retraction based on ethical breaches, legal issues, or post-publication discoveries.
- Investigation: The publisher may consult reviewers, authors, and institutions to verify claims before taking action.
- Transparency: Notices clearly state the reason for withdrawal, retraction, or correction.
- All actions follow COPE guidelines and aim to protect the integrity of the scientific record.
- Retractions, corrections, and withdrawals are handled fairly and without discrimination.
